Yudansha Grading Regulations
gradesGoing for a grade requires sufficient preparation ahead of the date. If the below standard is not accomplished no application will be accepted. We strongly recommend a focused training 6 months ahead of the date. Application forms must be filled six months prior to the grading and final list of courses attended two weeks before grading.

Grading Application Form

If you wish to register for the next grading session, please fill this form. Any incomplete form will be refused. If you prefer using a hard copy, this form is also available for printing. People applying for a Dan grade should also read the regulations for applying to a Yudansha grade.

Kyu Grading Syllabus
This section contains the official Dublin Aikikai grading syllabus and the videos to help you prepare for Kyu grading exams. Keep in mind that this is only intended as a learning aid and will in no way replace assiduous practice in your dojo.

Dojo Etiquette
The following rules are destined to make the most of the practice time while on the mat. Although there seem to be many forms of etiquette to remember, they will come naturally as you continue to train. Please do not resent it if you are corrected on a point of etiquette for each one is important to your safety and to the learning experience.
