The new DublinAikido.com website is out!

dublin-aikikai-aikido23DAA.com 3.0!!! We are glad to present to you the brand new version of the DAA website. It contains all the resources that made the old website, a must see for anyone, member or friend of the DAA, but we've pumped up the engine to make it a real portal for all the Aikido community in Ireland and beyond.

We warmly encourage you to create a user account (just a couple of minutes nescessary) to make sure that you can access the full content of the website and use it to its full potential. As a user, you are more than welcome to submit any material that you wish, be it pictures, videos, articles or anything Aikido related that you think might be of interest. Make yourself at home!

New features include:

  • Forum
  • New FAQs
  • Polls
  • Chat room
  • Glossary
  • User interface

and much, much more!

collaboration
At the DAA, we believe that Aikido is mainly about sharing. This website has been designed to follow this principle. We invite all DAA members and friends to contribute to the content of this website, regardless to their level/grade. How can you do this?

Say for example that you just attended a great seminar and you are very enthusiastic about it. Why not writing a little report so you can share your experience with fellow Aikidoka? You can also publish pictures, videos, anything you like! Another example: you know a great recipe of Chicken Teriyaki and want to share it with others? Go ahead share the good stuff!

The aim is to make a little magazine within this website where people with an interst in Japanese culture and martial arts can find and share information. We can divide contributions into main sections but the list is non-exhaustive; anything related can be of interest to all of us. For examples, click on the links.

The second main thing would be to make the content of the website available in other languages. We are delighted to have members from many nationalities amongst us and feel that it could be an occasion to reach out to Aikido practicioners over the world. Therefore, we are looking for people to translate the content of this website into their own language. As you can see, French and Italian versions are on the way but more could follow (Spanish, Polish, German...).

If you are interested to contribute in any way to this project, please have a look to the contributors section of the forum where you can open a thread and propose your services! Any question, email me !
