 Dublin Aikikai Aikido began its life with the Phibsboro Aikido Club in September of 1995, located in North Dublin at the Phibsboro Gym. The clubs founder Cyril Lagrasta (4rd Dan) had come to live in Ireland from his native France.

The DAA is an Irish Martial Arts Commission (IMAC) certified organisation. The yearly fee for insurance and membership is €30. It also entitles you for a personal Aikido Passport in which you will record insurance stamps, grades and seminars attended. Below is an extract of the insurance policy.
